On-the-ground assistance in the UK

For Gulf families visiting the UK for medical treatment, education or business, the hard part is rarely the money. It is arranging things in a system you do not know, in a language that is not your first, from four thousand kilometres away.

Private medical appointment coordination

The UK private medical sector is excellent and almost entirely opaque from outside. Consultants are not centrally listed in a way that helps a patient choose, waiting times vary enormously between hospitals for the same procedure, and the pathway from first consultation to treatment is not obvious to someone unfamiliar with it.

  • Identifying and booking appointments with private consultants and clinics
  • Coordinating scans, tests and follow-ups so a trip is not wasted waiting between appointments
  • Arranging medical records and their translation in advance, which routinely saves an entire consultation
  • Interpreting at appointments where wanted
  • Coordinating accommodation and transport around a treatment schedule
We are not clinicians and we do not give medical advice. We do not recommend treatments or diagnose anything. We arrange access to qualified UK practitioners and handle the logistics and language around it. The clinical decisions are between you and your doctor.

Translation and interpreting

  • Arabic, English and Spanish, in person and remotely
  • Certified document translation where a document must be formally relied on
  • Interpreting at medical, educational, legal and commercial appointments

Certified translation frequently sits alongside attestation and legalisation. Where a document needs both, we handle the chain together rather than sending you between providers. See document attestation.

Practical assistance during a stay

  • Airport arrangements and ground transport
  • Accommodation coordination, including longer stays around treatment or study
  • Appointments with UK institutions where somebody needs to be present
  • School and university visits, coordinated with our admissions work
  • Banking and administrative appointments, where an account or a document is needed and the process assumes local familiarity

How this is priced

Per visitA defined trip with a set of arrangements around it
RetainerRecurring visits or an extended stay

Third-party costs, medical fees, accommodation and transport, are paid by you directly to the provider wherever possible. We do not mark up third-party costs and we do not take commission from clinics, hospitals or hotels. If a provider offers one, we decline it, because a coordinator taking referral fees from clinics is not choosing the clinic on your behalf.

Whose side we are on

Al Hisn Partners acts for the client and only the client. We are retained by you, we take instructions from you, and our fee is paid by you.

We do not accept a fee, commission, rebate or referral payment from the other side of a transaction, or from any counterparty, agent, provider or institution we introduce or work alongside. Not disclosed, not discounted, not at all. If one is offered, we decline it. This is a strict conflict of interest rule and it holds across every service we provide.

Providers we arrange invoice you directly at their own rates. We take no commission from clinics, translators, drivers or anyone else in the chain.

Common questions

Do you give medical advice or recommend treatments?

No. We are not clinicians. We arrange access to qualified UK practitioners and handle the logistics, scheduling and language around it. All clinical decisions are between you and your doctor.

Do you take commission from hospitals or clinics?

No. We decline referral fees. A coordinator paid by clinics is not selecting the clinic on your behalf, which defeats the purpose of using one.

Can you arrange interpreting at appointments?

Yes, in Arabic, English and Spanish, in person or remotely, for medical, educational, legal and commercial appointments.

How far in advance should we contact you?

As early as possible. Consultant availability drives the whole schedule, and getting medical records translated in advance frequently saves an entire consultation once you arrive.

Do you handle certified translation of medical records?

Yes, and where documents also need attestation or legalisation we handle both together rather than sending you between providers.

Who pays you, and do you ever take a fee from the other side?

Our client pays us, and only our client. We do not accept a fee, commission, rebate or referral payment from a counterparty, or from any agent, provider, supplier or institution we introduce or work alongside. If one is offered, we decline it. This applies across every service we provide, without exception.
